The EFB2004 (Electronic Flight Bag for FS2004) is a very handy addition to the modern cockpit, virtually doing away with the need for paper charts or other physical copies of documents such as aircraft operating manuals, performance data, approach charts and checklists. And of course, speech recognition brings you the freedom from keyboard in your harware cockpit environment.įSWidgets EFB2004 (Electronic Flight Bag for FS2004) This means you don't have to worry about the speech recognition process impacting the frame rate of your main FS9 machine. We are thinking more in terms of solutions than features.Login | Register | About logging in and out With QuickPlan too we are not trying to pack in as many bells and whistles as possible to compete with other planners out there, just an easy way to make a plan in record time for use in one of our moving map apps. The core feature of this app is charting which is where most of the cost of development/maintenance goes. I would never suggest for example that iGMapHD be used for primary navigation, that is the job of the in-cockpit nav display. Overly complex apps with confusing interfaces and a myriad of often unused features are well spoken for. Thanks Peteguam, glad to hear you are still finding them useful years later.Īs your comment suggests, it is true we are focusing on the "quick and easy" aspect, trying to make our products as uncluttered and simple to use as possible by borrowing a lot from our mobile experiences. I have used both IGMapHD and Quickplan for a few years and find them very usable for some very quick information and route planning, flight following, etc. I disagree with your products being unusable.
